Otha E. Bush died in Weiser, Idaho, on September 18, 1891.The following is the death notice:

BUSH__ In Weiser, Friday, September 18, 1891, Otha E. Bush, of typhoid fever.
Mr. Bush was lately of Keota, Iowa, having come to Weiser last spring to take charge of the Weiser roller mills, of which he was part owner. He was sick for a number of days before his death, but his death was a surprise to all. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.

The following is from the October 1, 1891, Weiser Signal:
The remains of Mr. O. E. Bush arrived at his old home safely and we glean the following from the Keota Eagle: “Otha Bush is dead” were the words that caused much sorrow to suddenly spring into the hearts of Keota people last Saturday morning soon after the dread message had been flashed over the wires from far off Weiser, where lay cold and stiff the form of one who left us but a year ago. The picture of health and manly strength. The sorrow was all the greater because he was a good man, neighbor and friend, with a pleasant word and cordial hand- grasp for all, and had lived all his life in this and adjoining neighborhoods.
The body was brought here for interment and arrived here last Wednesday afternoon on the freight, and was accompanied by Mr. George Norton, his old neighbor, and two of the children, the wife being detained by the illness of her babe. The funeral was held in the Opera House Thursday at 10:30 a. m. and was attended by one of the largest crowds over assembled for a like purpose. Rev. B. F. Shane preached an eloquent sermon appropriate for the occasion. The interment was conducted by the masonic fraternity, of which he was a member, with beautiful and appropriate ceremonies. He was the first to leave the family circle composed of father, mother and eleven children.
