Alvina Elizabeth Buffington, daughter of Mary Elizabeth (Grose) and William McBride, was born on Jan. 10, 1912. She departed this life on Feb. 6, 2004. On Dec. 12, 1935, she married William Thomas Buffington and celebrated the love they shared for each other for 64 years. To this union, one daughter and two sons were born. Preceding her in death were her husband, Bill; youngest son, Keith Wayne; her parents and her nine siblings: Lula Martin, Charles McBride, William McBride, Beulah Heye, John McBride, George McBride, Viola Gardner, Lillian McBride and Vearl McBride. Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the Christian Faith Outreach Church, Imperial, NE, with grandson, Pastor Barry Emerson, and Pastor Glen Kline in charge of the service.
