Yeprem Astikian and Satenig Cassabian named their daughter Zeizon, which means Rainbow. We had heard this name throughout the years, but no one ever told her story. Handwritten papers revealed her identity and life history.
Rainbow was a stillborn baby girl. She was named Rainbow, but it does not appear on her death certificate. My grandmother wrote her name in Armenian in the family bible and sadly she crossed it out when she lost the baby.
Rainbow Astikian, daughter of Yeprem Astikian and Satenig Cassabian, died on the same day as Baby Astikian son of Stephen Astikian and Hadji-Kez Demirjian Astikian. Stephen Astikian and Yeprem Astikian are brothers.
