Death invaded the Aud neighborhood Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock, Sept. 9 (1925) and claimed one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens on that day. The soul of Mrs. Maria Shelley was called to the God who gave it.
Mrs. Shelley's maiden name was Jordan, the family being among the early settler's here. She came to Osage County when 7 years old and therefore a resident of this county 74 years.
She was married to Thomas Kennedy who departed this life August 21, 1889. A few years later, she married Wm. Shelley."
