Abe Dillon was born in Henry Co, son of Martin Dillon and Malinda Elliott. He was a distant cousin of his wife, Martha J. Dillon ; married 1865 in Patrick Co. They lived in Rock Castle Gorge. Abe's death certificate in Rockingham Co, NC, has his parents names. Folks are calling this cemetery the Abe M. Dillon Cemetery, but to my knowledge it was called the Dillon Graveyard or Cemetery only. Our family said that William (Buck) Dillon (father of Martha J. Dillon-Dillon) was the one who began it, and though he has no stone with his name, it was assumed he and his wife Lucy Agee are buried there as well.
