News was received here Wednesday of the death of Hubert Berners, a former Two Rivers man who passed away at his home in Port Washington after a short illness. Deceased was a brother of Edward C. Berners of this city who with his sister, Josephine, was called to the dying man's bedside on Tuesday.
Mr. Berners was born in this city fifty-nine years ago. He grew to manhood here and acquired a reputation as a skilled mechanic. He has been a resident of Port Washington for the past thirty-seven years. There he became a successful businessman who enjoyed the esteem of his fellow citizens and he had many friends in this city who regret his passing. He leaves his widow and four grown up children. The funeral will be held on Saturday morning from the residence at Port Washington.
