BALLARD- Coy B. Ballard, age 86 of Rt.1, Stanford, died at his home July 25, Saturday morning of a heart attack after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 30, 1895 in Lincoln Co. Ky. to the late General Marion and Sara Liz Anderson Ballard. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of WW I and a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ for 47 years.

Survived by his wife, Roxie Lee Ballard, Rt. 1 Stanford; 4 sons, Donald Ballard, Jacksonville, Fla., Wayland, Gary and Ralph Ballard of Rt. 1, Stanford; 4 daughters, Arla Jean Roberts, Leaven Worth, Kansas, Kathleen Lentz and Kay Leber, of Louisville, Faye Copley of Las Vegas, Nev.; twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Funeral services were Monday at the Martin Funeral Home with Ernie Carter officiating. Burial was in the Manuel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry, Timothy and Virgil Siler, Jeffery and Jamie Stickler and Roger Munford. (1981)
