Although the Greenwood County Cemetery Records, Volume Two says the marker at I-705 with Thomas Hawthorne is "ELLIS, ? ", I believe this is his wife, Mary Ann (Polly) RICHEY Hawthorne.

Mary Ann (Polly)RICHEY lived 31 years after John Thomas Hawthorne died, did she also marry an Ellis?
