Mrs. Sarah Edsall, wife of the late Austin Edsall, after a long illness, passed peacefully to her reward yesterday at 12 o’clock. The funeral will be at the home in Pine City at 1 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Edsall was the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Beaman of Wells, Pa. She was born March 10, 1839. In early womanhood she married Austin Edsall also of Wells, Pa., who died on August 14, 1908. They moved to Pine City about 37 years ago and were among the best known families of that section, Mr. Edsall being an active business man and Mrs. Edsall a prominent church worker.

Mrs. Edsall is survived by one brother, J. W. Beaman of Troy, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. C. E. Coloney of Elmira, and three children, J. B. Edsall of Pine City, Mrs. Douglas Powell of Cincinnati, O., and Mrs. Merton Nichols of Elmira. (Emira, NY, Star-Gazette, Sat. 5 Dec 1908, p. 7)
