P. J. GORMAN, FORMER LIVERYMAN DIES AT 78

Ran Business at Ninth and Harney and Later on Leavenworth.

P. J. Gorman, a liveryman and later in the auto business in Omaha for nearly half a century, died yesterday at his home, 1102 South Thirtieth avenue. He was 78 and had been ill a long time.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 from the residence at 8:30 to St. Peter's church at 9.

There are four sons and four daughters who survive. They are John, of Salt Lake City; Joseph, Leon, and Stanley, of Omaha; Mrs. E. P. Meyers, Blackstone hotel; Mrs. N. J. O'Donnell of Kansas City; Mother Gorman, religious order of the Sacred Heart, Chicago, and Miss Philomena Gorman, of Omaha.

Mr. Gorman first managed a livery business at Ninth and Harney streets, forty-five years ago. He later went into business for himself, his last barn being destroyed by fire at Twenty-eighth and Leavenworth streets. He then established a garage known as P. J. Gorman & Sons.
