She married Basil O'Dell Martin on May 5, 1945 in Marion County, AL. Together they had three daughters and one son.

Eva Lee moved to Green Rock, IL (now Colona, IL) with her husband and children in the early 1950's.
She died at Illini Hospital in Silvis, IL at the age of 46.
She was survived by the widow; her mother, Mrs. Lucy Couch of Winfield, Ala; three daughters, Miss Deborah, at home, Mrs. Lamar Cox of Green Rock, and Mrs. Johnny Sexton of Gordon, Ala.; a son, Roger O., Green Rock; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. (Susie) Mae Spillers of Winfield, and Mrs. Willard (Christine) Mayhall of Haleyville, Ala.; and four brothers, Chester, or Peoria, J. P. of Birmingham, Ala., and Leonard and Presley, both of Winfield.
