The State of Kansas to Preston Taylor:
Preston Taylor is hereby notified the he, as defendant, has been sued by Mary Louisa Taylor, as plaintiff, in the District Court in Lyon County, Kansas, where plaintiff's petition is on file. That said defendant must plead, answer or demur to said position on or before the 3d day of October, 1902, or the same will be taken as true, and judgment rendered accordingly, decreeing to plaintiff a divorce from the defendant, to become absolute as provided by law, alimony, costs and attorney fee, and granting to her sole custody of their minor child, and such other and further relief as may be proper in the premises.

MRS. M. L. TAYLOR DEAD.
The body of Mrs. M. L. Taylor arrived from Osawatomie, Kan., arrived on No. 17 last night. Mrs. Taylor died Sunday from a complication of disorders. Tuberculosis had developed recently. Interment was made in Maplewood cemetery this afternoon. Short services were held at the cemetery conducted by Rev. W. A. Parker. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Mt. St. Mary's Academy, and was a prominent teacher in Kansas and Missouri a few years ago. She leaves one son, Wesley, ten years of age, besides her mother, Mrs. E. B. Gregg, and five brothers, F. B. Gregg, of Eureka; G. H. Gregg, of Iola; F. C. Gregg, of Severy; C. H. Gregg, of Ft. Worth; and E. R. Gregg, of Emporia.
Mrs. E. B. Gregg arrived from Eureka today.
