MASINGO , VERLIN CARL - age 86, of Greenback, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 1998, at the family home. Member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the Greenback Masonic Lodge. Preceded in death by first wife, Mary Ann Ford Masingo ; second wife, Pearl K. Masingo ; parents; and three sisters. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Cleo and Clifford Mills of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Ruth Masingo of Greenback; grandchildren, Bill Mills of Maryville, Joy Lyttle and husband, Mike of Louisville, Jeremy Masingo of Maryville; sisters, Bertha Goad of LaFollette, Dalis Edwards of Speedwell, Bonnie Page of Lake City, and Ruby Harbin of Knoxville; brothers, Lewis A. Masingo of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 1998, at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m., Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
