Ellis County History, BERRY, ADAMSON RANDOLPH, Parkman

In February of 1905, Adamson Randolph and Sarah Ellen (Stine) Berry, with their seven children, moved from Logan County, Oklahoma to their homestead in the southeastern part of Day County, Oklahoma Territory.

Stella, their oldest child is buried near Guthrie. The children coming to Day County with their parents were: Olive, Belle, Albert, Myrtle, Bob, Joy and Chloie.

Mr Berry had made several trips to Day County before he brought his family. He had built a half dugout and had brought some cattle to the new location.

Mrs Berry had accompanied him on one of the trips and she, Chloie and Joy came with him on another one of the trips he made. They brought with them on the final move two covered wagons, a spring wagon and a saddle horse.

... Six of the Berry children found their mates in the home community ... Mr Berry was born in 1857 and died in 1930. Mrs Berry was born in 1857 and died in 1952.
