John William Evrley, 81, of Taylorville, died at 9:57 a.m., Thursday, Nov 22, 1990 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Evrley was born December 6, 1908 in Litchfield, the son of James J. and Betty L. Mills. He married Gladys Marcella Walker, June 1, 1938 in Taylorville. He was a retired storage clerk from C. & I.M. Railroad and was a member of the Ohlman United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Marcella, one son, Keith E. and one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Ann Sinnard, both of Taylorville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Marie Stanley, Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jim.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, in Sutton Memorial Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight.
