A native of Vienna, Ga., he had lived in Putnam County for 30 years, coming from Jacksonville. He was a baker with Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church in San Mateo. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Pheanie L. Bridges of San Mateo; three daughters, Pat Robb of Elsinore, Calif., Betty Tims of Upland, Calif., Adell Graziano of Keystone Heights.; one stepson, Ron Poppell of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in San Mateo with the Rev. Leroy Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
