Bynum or "Biney" as he was known, was the son of Watson Enloe and Mary Elizabeth Angel.

He married Elmina Clementine "Clem" Conley on 15 Sep 1872. Performed by: J.L. Buchanan, Magistrate at the home of William Conley (father of the bride) in Jackson County, NC.

Nine children would be born to this union: Robert Lee Enloe, Sallie M Enloe, Leonardus P Enloe, Alice Enloe, Sterling J Enloe, Oria Enloe, Bert Enloe, Elsie (Enloe) Dunlap and Hilliard Maxwell Enloe. Their son, Bert was deaf-mute.

Biney died as the result of brights disease.

He was 77-years of age.
