The family settled in Marion Township, Clayton County, Iowa. In 1875 Mr. Grina moved to Northwood, ND, where he lived until his death.

Peder was buried Monday from the house and from the Ebenezer Lutheran church. There were a great number of Mr. Grina's relatives present at the funeral, besides a considerable number of other friends and and old acquaintances. In the passing of Mr. Grina, the community sustains the loss of an esteemed and honored pioneer. He was an honest and rather quiet man, who leaves behind him many friends. No tombstone marks his grave.
