Carl Evenson was born in Turner County, SD on Nov. 17, 1897. Then Carl moved with his parents to Cody, NE and spent about three years there. The family then moved back to Turner County, and farmed for many years. In 1944 Carl and the family moved to the town of Parker, SD.

Carl spent several years with a well driller and at the Parker grain elevator.

He died of an apparent heart attack enroute to the Freeman Community hospital on Sep. 26, 1978.

He is survived by three brothers, Louis, Lennox, SD; Lawrence, Sioux Falls, SD; Elmo, Lincoln, NE; three sisters, Georgie (Mrs. Gust Wedell), Elsie (Mrs. Gus Johnke) both of Sioux Falls, SD, and Mrs. Mollie Bucholz, Lincoln, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Nellie, Selma and Lavina.
