Mr. and Mrs. Rogers were married at Mount Hope, Wis. on Aug. 31, 1892.
They made their home near Fennimore, Wis. until 1905 when they came to South Dakota. Mr. Roger's brother James Ragers[sic] lived near Parker at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers lived during their first few years of residence here in Norway, Marion and Brothersfield township and then returned to Marion township where they lived for twenty years and moved to Parker six years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Rogers had ten children. Three sons died in childhood. The children are William H., and George Albert of Parker, Amos who is with the Red Cross stationed with First Cavalry Maneuvers in Louisiana, Walter who is a ship repairman now in Hawaii, Mrs. Henry Miller (Lillie Rogers) of Parker, Mrs. Marion Langrock (Lottie Rogers) of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Clarence Hagen (Lula Rogers) of Parker.
Mr. and Mrs. Rogers have twelve grandchildren and one foster grandchild, the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Rogers.
