Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 18, 2000, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, with the Rev. Gerald Sirois S.D.S. officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
She is the former Mary C. Schwoerer born February 1, 1913, in St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Anton and Christina Kaltenbrun Schwoerer. She attended schools in St. Nazianz including one year of business school. On October 9, 1934, she married William Steffen at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on November 21, 197. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill and the Christian Women. Mary enjoyed sewing, canning and gardening.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Sharon) Steffen, Manitowoc, Jerome (Mary) Steffen, Green Bay, Margie (Alan) Ade, Hustisford, Gerald (Rose) Steffen, Malone, Ruth (Lloyd) Gass, Two Rivers, William Jr. (Joni) Steffen, Kiel; 19 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Angeline Schwoerer, Olive Schwoerer, both of St. Nazianz; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Steffen; five sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Noon.
The Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, is assisting the family.
