PETER A. SCHARENBROCH

Peter A. Scharenbroch, 92, a former St. Nazianz resident, died Thursday evening, December 28, 1989 at Chilton Village Health Care Center, where he was residing for one month.

Funeral Mass for Peter will be 11 am Tuesday, January 2, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Rev. Reginald Schrimpf and Deacon James Steffen will officiate, preceded by brief family rites at 10:30 am at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Scharenbroch was born June 11, 1897 at School Hill, son of the late Christian and Mary Magdalen Herr Scharenbroch. He attended Woodland School, Town of Schleswig and was a graduate of St. John College, Collegeville, Minnesota, where he took a short course in Music. He worked and resided at the Salvatorian Fathers, St. Nazianz, most of his life. While at St. Nazianz he was Director of Studens and Brothers Choirs and general Organist. Mr. Scharenbroch was the Instructor of the Freshman Music Class and later worked in the Admissions Office of the Salvatorian Seminary.

He set up a filling system of Office and former Student Records, Student Activities and Alumni Association Files. He also translated German language records for S.D.S.

Four years ago he moved to Milwaukee to the Salvatorian Retirement Home. Jordan House. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during World War II and served from 1942 to 1944.

Survivors include various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by 3 brothers, 4 sisters, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, 4 pm to 9 pm Monday, January 1 and Tuesday from 8 am until the time of service. A wake service will be held at 8 pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
