Ernestine Riesterer, 84, formerly of School Hill, died Wednesday morning, February 21, 2007 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.

She was the former Ernestine Winter, born December 13, 1922 in St. Anna, WI, daughter of the late John & Minnie Krebsbach Winter. She attended St. Ann Catholic School. On May 15, 1946 Ernestine was united in marriage to Matthew A. Riesterer at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna. Her husband Matthew preceded her in death on November 12, 1995.

Ernestine worked at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein for ten years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill and the Christian Women Society. She also belonged to a number of card clubs. Ernestine enjoyed spending time with her family, playing sheepshead and gardening.

Survivors include three sons: Edward Riesterer, Oostburg, Daniel (Carol) Riesterer, St. Nazianz, Ronald (Pam) Riesterer, Newton, five daughters: Mary (Tom) Schad, Kiel, Theresa (Thomas) Allee, Sheboygan, Margie Riesterer, Howards Grove, Connie (Mark) Meyer-Schroeder, Germantown, Cindy (Fred Jr.) Meyer,Elkhart Lake, twenty one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, with number twelve on the way. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, Irene Winter, Reedsville, Stella Winter, Fond du Lac, brothers & sisters-in-law, Alois Riesterer, Newton, Mary Ann Repenshek, Sheboygan, Magdeline Steffen, St. Nazianz, Tony & Joanne Riesterer, Collins, Elroy Miller, Kiel, Joanne Riesterer, Valders & Juanita Riesterer, Kiel.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph & Walter Winter, one sister, Irene (Art) Reith and one son-in-law, Bruce Meyer.

The funeral mass for Ernestine will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church,11928 Marken Road with Rev. Scott Jones S.D.S. & Deacon James Steffen officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th. St., Kiel on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
