Irene M. Long, 94, Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 1:48 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 25, 2012) at Bloomington Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1917 in Galesburg, Illinois, daughter of Kendrick and Flora Norris Boone. She married Paul Snyder in 1937. She later married Elmer Long on Nov. 4, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Louis Long and Thomas Long; three brothers, Galen, Herbert and Martin; one granddaughter, Lynn and one great-grandson, Ryan.
Surviving are three children, Carol (Frank) Ahrens, Louise (William) Madden and Lee (Donna) Long; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
