Arthur Mallen of Kansas City, Kan. nephew of M. B. Kennedy, of Plattsburg was killed in a railway accident at Seymour, Iowa, last Friday. The body was brought to Plattsburg for burial and funeral service, conducted by Rev. Father Keily.
Mr. Mallen was 33 years of age, and was the son of Mrs. Margaret Mallen, of Kansas City, Kan. He was a world war soldier, and was in army service in France. He was employed as a brakeman by the Milwaukee railroad company.
His brother Ed, also met death in a railway accident about two years ago.
The deceased is survived by his mother and one sister, and two brothers, all of whom were at the funeral. His father died several years ago, and is also buried in the Mt. Calvary cemetery here.
