Ruth Ann "Buck" Wilson Dameron, 70, of 4676 Park Springs Rd, Pelham went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Born in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late John J. "Crip" Wilson and Blanch Bailey Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Lindsay Dameron and brother, William "Rocky" Wilson.
Ms. Dameron enjoyed cooking, growing vegetables, working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She loved her kids and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. Because of her faith in Christ, she is no longer suffering and is experiencing the promise of life in Christ. She was a member of Park Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Ms. Dameron is survived by three daughters, Laura Tranbarger (Richard, Jr.) of Pelham, Vennie Beggarly (Barry, Jr.) of Providence and Lynn Smithers (Larry, Jr.) of Pelham; six sisters, Juanita "Pollie" Hawkins of Reidsville, Sadie Cox of Reidsville, Mary "Willie" Underwood of Providence, Rachel Underwood of Eden, Nancy Cassady of Pelham and Betty "Pug" Payne of Danville; one brother, Carlton "John" Wilson of Ringgold; her devoted friend, James Harold Hamlett; nine grandchildren, Eddie L. Mimms III, Cassie Mimms, Heather Tranbarger, Shawn Tranbarger, Austin Beggarly, Riley Burke, Lyndsey Smithers, Libby Smithers, and Emma Smithers; six great grandchildren, Jarvis Truman, Mackenzie Truman, Chance Touchstone, Hunter Mimms, Grace Mimms, and Ethan Mimms.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Bethel United Methodist Church by Rev. Ed Curran and Rev. Mark Moore. Interment will follow in the church
Pallbearers will be Shawn Wilson, Timmy Wilson, Keith Underwood, Shawn Tranbarger, Edward Lee Mimms, III, Adam Wilson, Patrick Wilson, Wesley Underwood, II and Chris Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Fellowship Hall Fund at Park Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, 5182 Foster Rd., Providence, NC 27315.
