Weldon Burgess Theobald, age 73, died January 2, 1982 in Tooele, Utah.
Born July 17, 1908, in Hinckley, Utah to T. George and Agnes Ettie Elder Theobald. Married Mable Dewsnup March 25, 1932 in Fillmore, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Moved to Dugway in 1954, where he was employed as a lab technician at Dugway Proving Grounds. Moved to Tooele in 1962. Member LDS Church.
Survivors: wife, Tooele; sons, Cloyd, Arvada, Colorado; Ronald, West Valley City; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother and sisters, Carl, Hinckley; Mrs. Marvin (Arvilla) Lovell, Oak City; Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Fuller, Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 6, 1982 in Tooele and burial in the Tooele Cemetery.
Services were as follows: Family prayer given by Charles R. Theobald with prelude and postlude music by JoAnn Palmer and Bishop Richard Kroff conducting and reading the obituary.
Invocation was by Mark Halgren, song, “Somewhere My Love” by Dick Hall, speaker was Gene White. Song, “Families Can Be Together Forever,” by Suzanne and David Theobald and Christine, Travis and Renda Stanworth, speaker, Clair Hansen; song, “Going Home” by Roxey Dobson. Benediction by Ivo Christensen and dedication of grave by Cloyd W. Theobald.
Pallbearers were Charles Theobald, Lee Theobald, Michael Theobald, Scott Theobald, Steven Theobald and Roger Ekins. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Halgren, Hyrum Justen, Ivo Christensen, Bert Lowry and Chris Weyland.
