Born to Cody and Emma Attebery in Happy Camp on July 23, 1928, Frank was one of three children. His sisters Trella and Myrtle have both preceded him in death.
Frank was married 54 years to Elinor Lemon Attebery. The couple married in her parent's back yard with a garden wedding up Elk Creek on Aug. 23, 1958. Over those 54 years, they roamed around the Siskiyou Mountains enjoying the scenery, animals, plants, birds and an occasional picnic lunch. The two of them simply enjoyed being together!
Frank was a hardworking man, supporting his family through farming, milling and mining. He was employed by Grey Eagle Mine for 20 years, pulled green chain at the mill for 20 years and raised Hereford cattle. In his past time, Frank could be found hunting or fishing, but he especially liked to fish. He was an easy going person and many people enjoyed being around him. From time to time, he would delight in a game of pinochle or solitaire.
Frank is survived by his wife Elinor of Happy Camp; his niece Peggy Scheuermann of Yreka; nephews Alva Hockaday of Montague, Pete Loquet of Lamore, Calif., Bob Loquet of Dodge City, Kan.; great niece Peggy Gibbons of Yreka; great nephews Bill Cody Hughes, and Tim, Tom, Robert and Ryan Loquet; along with many cousins and life-long friends.
