Paul was born on June 8, 1942 in Toronto, Canada. He moved to Siskiyou County in 1987 from Redding. He was the funeral director for the Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel. Prior to Mt. Shasta, he was a funeral director for McDonalds Chapel in Redding. He loved fishing at Lake Siskiyou and living in Mount Shasta.
Survivors include his son Scott Rickett of Redding, his daughter Jennifer Rowen of Chico and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Glenn Rickett of Downey and his sister Carol Schweibinz of LaMirada.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo.
