PULASKI.—Services for Merton Lawrence, 91, were held in the Foster funeral home at 2 p. m. Wednesday by the Rev. James W. Pauley of the Pulaski Methodist church and the body was placed in the vault of Pulaski cemetery for burial in Ellisburg cemetery in the spring.
Members of the Robert Edwards Post, American Legion, including Commander Francis Smithling, Past Commander Harry M. Tollerton, J. Ward Carey and Howard E. Carpenter, acted as bearers as a courtesy to his widow Mrs. Mary Lawrence who has long been a leading member of J. B. Butler Post, women's Relief corps, and who, for many years, took a leading part in Memorial day programs
