Robert James "Bob" Snider, 76, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollywood Road Community Fellowship Church with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Mr. Snider was born May 9, 1936, in Clinton, Okla., to Elmer and Elsie Snider. He graduated from Clinton High School and served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1961. After his military service, Mr. Snider worked in the printing business until his retirement in 2000. He married Sue on Aug. 11, 1984. He enjoyed reading and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Snider was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather. He was a deacon at his church, and he loved and served the Lord with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Snider.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; three daughters, Connie Snider, Debbie Willingham and husband Kyle and Sue Sisemore and husband Gary, all of Amarillo; three sons, Tony Snider of Houston, Kent Smith and wife Mabel of Parker and Kirk Smith of Chandler, Ariz.; a sister, Ruby McLaurin and husband George of Wheeler; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Hollywood Road Community Fellowship, 9711 Hollywood Road, Amarillo, TX 79119.
