Clinton MO - Odessa May Gragg, youngest daughter of Elijah M. and Paulina J. Gragg was born eight miles North of Montrose, June 8, 1891. Departed this life at her home in Montrose, October 15, 1940. Age 49 years, 4 months and 7 days. Her entire life was spent in the Hopewell community and at Montrose, where she held in high esteem by her many friends and acquaintances. In 1905, at the early age of 14 years she was converted and united with the Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church, to which she was ever faithful. Her fellowship with her Lord was a comforting and sustaining force in her life through many hours of suffering. Her entire Christian life bore testimony to the fact that she had been with Jesus. As a girl, she attended the Cleveland rural school, the Montrose High School and later the State Teachers College at Warrensburg. She held a Life Teacher's Certificate and taught for a number of years in the schools of Henry and Bates counties. November 10th, 1929, she was united in marriage to Edward M. Fenimore of Montrose. Since which time, she has lived in Montrose. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her departure, her aged mother, Mrs. Paulina J. Gragg, two brothers, Chas. R. and N. E. Gragg, a sister, Mrs. G. C. Faulkner, 2 stepsons, Walter and Norman Fenimore, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith Guinn, 4 grandchildren, Donald, Wright and Stanley Guinn and Edward Earl Fenimore, a nephew, Lawrence Gragg, a niece, Mrs. John Getz and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Montrose Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Thursday, Oct. 17, by Rev. Arthur S. Olsen of Clinton assisted by Rev. G. C. Faulkner, brother-in-law of the departed. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Montrose Cemetery.
