Sister Mary Arnold Wils, age 83, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2000, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem, with burial in Holy Family
Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Margaret Wils was born March 17, 1917, in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of
the late Joseph and Stephanie Boes Wils. She attended high school and
Cloverland Commmercial College. She entered the convent in 1952 and
pronounced her vows in 1957. Sister Mary Arnold served as an office
worker at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, and at St. Francis Memorial
Hospital, West Point, Neb. She also performed household tasks at Our
Lady Of Guadalupe, Cowlic, Ariz., Sacred Heart Seminary, Oneida, Holy
Family Convent, Manitowoc, Ozanam Home, New Berlin and St. Francis
Convent, Manitowoc, Wis. Since 1997, she has been a resident of St. Rita
Health Center at the Motherhouse.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a sister,
Mary Wils, Escanaba, Mich.; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2000, from 4-8 p.m. at Holy
Family Convent, Manitowoc. A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. at
Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
