In her old age, Belle became blind and she lived with her daughter Mary Helen Beckham. As a youngster, I recall that she smoked a pipe. Tragically, Belle died from an accidental burning when her clothing caught fire.
Children of James and Belle are Mary Helen Hallmark, George Lee Hallmark, Lillie May Hallmark and William Eddy Jack Hallmark.
Belle has two sisters buried in the Zephyr cemetery: Kiziah Jane Wadsworth and Missouri Alabama Bynum.
