L.G. ROBERTS
MUIR- L.G.Roberts, 69, of 8904 Otterside Drive, Farwell, died suddenly at his
residence Sept. 21.

He was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Coleman, Mich., the son of Frank and Kathleen
Roberts. He moved with his family to Clarksville area, and graduated from
Clarksville High School.

He married Bessie Otto in1937. She died in May 1981.

He was a milk hauler for about 15 years and later retired from TRW where he had
been employed for 25 years.

A charter member of Trinity Baptist Church of Farwell, he was also a member of
the Otter drive Senior Citizens group.

He is survived by four sons; Guy of Rockford, Richard of Phoenix, Ariz., Larry
of Ionia, and Harold of Paradise, Mich.,; and one daughter, Mrs. Alice Lance of
Manchester.

One son preceded him in death.

Also surviving is a brother, Burl of Muskegon Heights, a sister, Mrs. Tressie
Wolthuis of Florida, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sept 24 from the Lyons Baptist Church, the Rev. Davi
Grinnell of Farwell officiating, assisted by the Rev.Paul Carmichael of Lyons
Baptist Church. Burial was in Muir cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the American Heart Foundation in care of the
funeral home.
