MASON _ Douglas Albert. After a brief illness, Douglas Albert Mason, born April 28, 1925, passed away on January 9, 2006 at Richmond General Hospital.
He is remembered by numerous nephews and nieces along with their extended families. Doug served in the Merchant Navy during the Second World War. He worked both in the BC mining and construction industries. Most recently, he worked at Canada Post. Within a society which places too much emphasis on material gain as the usual measure of success, Doug was an anomaly. He was as honest, as moral and as good a human being as you will ever meet. He never spoke ill of others and was always friendly and supportive. His love was absolute and unconditional. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A family gathering to remember him will be held later when he is laid to rest with his mother Eleanor at Capilano View Cemetery.
