MRS. FRITZ SCHLUETER

Emma Anna Sophia Schlueter was born to John Kroger and Sophia nee Eitzmann Nov. 23, 1907 in Nuckolls County.

She was baptized Dec. 1, 1907 at St. Peter by Pastor F. Schardt. She attended Blue Mound Rural Public School in Kansas for her elementary education.

On June 25, 1922 she confirmed her faith at St. Paul Lutheran, Byron when Pastor R. Wagner served.

She became the bride of Fritz W. Schlueter on November 26, 1926 at St. Paul, united by Pastor Wagner. They lived for the almost 50 years of their marriage in the Hardy community during which time she was a member of St. Peter. Two sons and four daughters were born to this union.

She died at the Nuckolls County hospital at the age of 68 years, 6 months, and 26 days.

Preceding her in death were her parents and 2 sisters, Ida Coulter and Frieda Wittke.

In addition to her husband Fritz, she is survived by her 2 sons, Marvin and Arlen of Hardy; 4 daughters, Mrs. Ralph Clark of Hardy, Mrs. Dennis Frye of Republic, Mrs. Donivan Huwoldt of Uehling, Nebr.; Mrs. Gary Aksamit of York, Nebr.; 13 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Albert Rademacher of Newkirk, and Mrs Raymond Marquart of Byron; 3 brothers, Ernest and Albert Kroeger of Byron and Otto Kroeger of Lincoln, Nebr.

Services were held at St. Peter Lutheran church (sic), rural Byron June 22 with Pastor A. L. Meyer officiating. Burial was in the St. Peter cemetery (sic).
