Mrs. Dorothy Geneva Dobson, 54, daughter of Mr. Victor Beams & Mrs. Ova McCubbins Beams, was born August 4, 1919 in the Summersville community of Green Co. and departed this life at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 1974 in the Metzmeier Nursing Home. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Lees Lane Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Mr. Curtis Dobson, who survives, on October 10, 1936. To this union was born 1 daughter: Mrs. Rachel Carolyn Lanham, of Louisville and 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Dobson is also survived by 3 sisters and 9 brothers: Carl Beams, Mrs. Katherine McCubbins, Robert Beams, James Beams, all of Greensburg, Mrs. Maybell Vance, Eldred Beams, Donald Beams, Wayne Beams, Raymond Beams, all of Louisville, Mrs. Adel Lawler, Illinois, Mark Buford Beams, Tennessee, Cledus Beams, Magnolia. The remains were at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery with Rev. Cosby Dobson officiating. Pallbearers: Floyd Vance, Norman Vance, Kenneth Wainscot, Johnny Vance, Auston Caldwell and Shelby Pruitt.
