POTTSVILLE - Robert W. Downey, 58, of 127 Forest Hill Road died Friday in Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was a staff administrator and chief warrant officer for the Army Reserve unit at Fort Indiantown Gap, where he was in charge of the 378th Supply and Service Battalion. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Pottsville Area High School Alumni Association, and was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Boris Downey. Surviving are his wife, Janice Boris Downey; four sons, Ronald W. Jr. and Tony, both of Pottsville, Capt. John D. of Yuma, Ariz., and Gregory R. of Richlandtown; a daughter, Janice M. Hosler of Cumbola; three brothers, Robert of Oneonta, N.Y., Anthony H. of Pottsville,and Richard Temple; four grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
