Paul was my father. He and my mother, Helen Flynt, went to school in Wheeler, Texas, and married in 1941. I was born in 1942 and lived for a few years around Ventura, California. Paul went into the Marines, serving in the Pacific during World War II. They bore another son, Donald, and a daughter, Helana, and were divorced sometime around 1946. Paul stayed in California while mother and all three of us kids lived in Clovis, NM, for awhile and eventually moved to Wheeler, Texas, where we all grew up. Paul visited us there a couple of times there. In May of 1962 I moved to California, went to work and during the following years visited with Paul and his wife, Lois, and their son, Philip, frequently. Paul and I even worked together for a time; both of us working for Greyhound in Bakersfield. Paul moved to Fresno, returned to driving but disabily retired and then passed in October of 1983.
