Josiah Rohr, a former mayor of Sharpsburg, died Tuesday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Miss Ethel Rohr, 2805 18th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. He died of complications, after an illness of five months, at the age of 99 years, eight months.

Mr. Rohr was born in Boonsboro, a son of the late Philip and Matilda (Cramer) Rohr. He lived most of his life in Sharpsburg, but for the past twelve years had resided in Washington.

He was a retired merchant tailor and an active Republican. He was also a member of the Reformed Church.

Surviving, in addition to his daughter, are two sons, Floyd C. Rohr, of Brunswick, and R. Earl Rohr, of Los Angeles; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Edward Bigelow, of Alexandria, Va.

The body was removed to the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. William H. Groff will officiate, and interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
