Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
Mr. Yates was a member of Moselle Memorial Baptist Church and a life long resident of Jones County.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Jarrell Yates of Moselle; two sons, Lavon (Beth) Yates and Lavell (Elizabeth) Yates, both of Moselle; two grand daughters, Stacy (Lee) Backstrom and Shelly Yates, both of Moselle; one grandson, Blake Yates of Moselle; three brothers, Lonnie Yates, Sr., Roy (Judy) Yates and Terrell (Vergie) Yates, all of Ellisville; four sisters, Virgie Brewer, Dimpie "Ida" Scruggs, Eloise Williams and Paulette (Toxie) Crosby, all of Ellisville and a host of neices and nephews.
