Services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Jones & Son Chapel in Moselle for Mr. William Jasper Yates, 81, of Moselle, who died October 22, 2012 at Regency Hospital. Bro. Hiram Eaves and Bro. Keith Thompson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moselle.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Massey, David Scruggs, Taylor Sanford, Justin Scruggs, Wayne Scruggs, Jeff Walters and Darrell Blackwell, as alternate.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
Mr. Yates was a member of Moselle Memorial Baptist Church and a life long resident of Jones County.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Jarrell Yates of Moselle; two sons, Lavon (Beth) Yates and Lavell (Elizabeth) Yates, both of Moselle; two grand daughters, Stacy (Lee) Backstrom and Shelly Yates, both of Moselle; one grandson, Blake Yates of Moselle; three brothers, Lonnie Yates, Sr., Roy (Judy) Yates and Terrell (Vergie) Yates, all of Ellisville; four sisters, Virgie Brewer, Dimpie "Ida" Scruggs, Eloise Williams and Paulette (Toxie) Crosby, all of Ellisville and a host of neices and nephews.
