Another Pioneer is Called

James M. Gollaher, born and reared in this county, yet holding the distinction of a pioneer, died at his home on West Street last Friday following a two months illness from heart trouble.
Mrs. Gollaher was born at Richville (Lake Point) in the north end of this valley September 10, 1857, when 6 years of age his mother died, and he was practically raised until manhood by Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bryan So., who resided at Erda.

He was married to Isabel Miller March 3rd, 1881 in the Endowment House at the Salt Lake City, and to this union six sons and three daughters were born.

Mrs. Gollaher has figured prominently in the musical and mechanical progress of our community in early days. His mechanical genius was of real assistance in pioneer work, and is activity in this line did not cease until the time of his fatal illness.

He is survived by his wife four sons. Wm. M, of Mesa Arizona. John D. and Samuel of this city, and George of Washington, D. C. and three daughters, Mrs. Ben Peasnall,
Edna and Elva Gollaher all of this City.

Funeral services were held in the North ward church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Bishop A. L. Hanks presided. The choir, under the leadership of Erb Johnson, rendered music. Solos were sung by W. Leo Isgreen and Erb Johnson.

The speakers were H. B. Haynes, John A. Bevan and E. M. Orem. Bishop A. E. Atkin offered the opening prayer and A. A. Walters gave the benefaction.
