Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David on the 19th day of December at the age of 60 years.

He will be remembered for his zest for life, his ready smile, his compassionate and caring nature and the courage and dignity with which he faced his battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his soul mate and best friend Lois; his feline companion Tiga; his mother Meta; siblings Nina (Ron) Douglas, Myrna Murray and Gordon (Lynne); mother-in-law Edith Keene; brother-in-law Gordon (Lorna) Keene as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Bert; sister Carol; brothers-in-law Curt Boreen and Ken Murray and father-in-law Stan Keene.

Dave had an inquisitive mind, a deep interest in people, a passion for books, music and photography, a great sense of humour and turn of phrase and above all an exceptional gift for friendship.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Home Care team, the specialists who tried so hard to help David beat the cancer- Drs. Al Hayek, Ekong, Kakumanu, Koul, Raghig and McKay. Special thank you to Dr. Donovan and Leanne Brown for the compassion and care they gave Dave over the many years and especially the last few months.

A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East in Regina on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, The Allan Blair Cancer Clinic or the Regina Humane Society.
