GILLILAND, Gerald "Bluegill Jerry" 76, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1936 in Mechanicsburg, the son of Paul and Margaret (Rafferty) Gilliland. Jerry was a graduate of Northeastern High School and retired from Navistar in 1986. He lived to fish and loved his dogs. He is survived by his sons, Bryan of Wyoming, Scott and Michael (Dawn) Gilliland both of Springfield; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, "Pretty Baby Lady", his 'Fishing Family' at Kentucky Lake; as well as other family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Carol Crippen as well as a sister, Donna Mae. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Somerford Cemetery. Services are entrusted to SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
