WELL KNOWN BLACK ASH
RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

One of the well known and highly
esteemed residents of Black Ash, Mrs.
Ida L. Bogardus, aged 67 years, passed
away at the family home yesterday at
12:45 p. m., after an illness of several
months. She was a faithful member of
the Methodist church for 48 years and
was always active in all church enterprises.
Mrs. Bogardus was a very capable
nurse and had assisted in many
families throughput Crawford county.
The deceased leaves the husband, J.
Burton Bogardus, two sons, Roy Bogardus
of Coudersport and Clyde
Bogardus of Black Ash, five grandchildren
and one great-grandchild, four sisters
and one brother, Mrs. Rebecca
Bland of Linesville,: Mrs. Perl Marvin,
R; 4, Centerville, Mrs. Claude Mallory
of Diamond and Mrs. Minard Hancox,
Titusville, and Layton Boals of Amerilla-
Texas.
Services in her memory will be conducted
from the Black Ash Methodist
church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Interment will be in the church
cemetery.
