CROSSVILLE — Twenty-year Crossville resident and prior Illinois resident Jack G. Simpson, 80, passed away Oct. 13, 2012, after an extended battle with Parkinson's disease. Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church Oct. 16, with the Rev. Ron Patterson officiating. Interment was in Pomona Cemetery.

He was born April 27, 1932, in Thompsonville, IL, the son of Emma Simpson.

Jack was a Korean War veteran, successful sales representative and small business owner.

He greatly appreciated the care and comfort provided by his doctors and nurses, June, other family members and friends as his Parkinson's progressed.

Family was the most important thing to him, and he was very proud of his sons, their spouses and his grandchildren's accomplishments.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, James "Jim" Ray Simpson, and mother, Emma Simpson.
