On the 27th of November 1865 she was united in marriage to John R. Wallace. To this union seven children were born, only five of whom are now left. Many grandchildren, and a large circle of friends mourn the loss of mother.
At the age of 18 she accepted the Saviors promise, and was united with the Methodist church, and has remained an active member until the Heaven Bells sounded the call, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, come unto me." The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Carney by the side of her companion, after services at the M. E. church at Carney.
