Mrs. Reeta Pearl Whitney, 64, of 352 Washington, died at the Dukes Hospital at 8 a.m., Friday, after a year's illness. She had lived here 59 years. Mrs. Whitney was born in Wabash County, May 8, 1895, the daughter of Charles S. and Dora (Keim) Clevenger. She was married in 1916 to Leo Whitney, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and two daughters, Charles E. and Leo Whitney Jr., and Mrs. Willis Steele, Peru; Thomas E. of Danville, Ill., and Becky Sue Whitney,: at home; two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Woods, Peru and Mrs. Henry Geiser, Downers Grove, Ill., and 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Whitney was a member of the auxiliaries of the V.F.W., Moose, Eagles and Vets. Funeral services wil1 be from the Drake-Flowers Chapel at 1:30 p.m., Monday. The Rev. Gary Allbritten will officiate and burial wi11 be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
