Winterville - Ms. Ola Bramlett Rochester, 89, of Winterville, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009.
A native of Tiger, Ga., Ms. Rochester was a daughter of the late Henry Lawrence and Lassie Oren Holcomb Bramlett. She was a longtime member at Winterville First Baptist Church and a member of the Marion Coile Sunday school class. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Christopher Columbus Rochester; her brothers, Odie Bramlett, Wilma D. Bramlett and Elmo Bramlett; and two twin sisters, Helen and Ellen Bramlett.
Survivors include her stepdaughters, Joan Moss of Anderson, S.C., and Peggy Delk of Dalton, Ga.; sister, Velma Rochester, Winterville; a brother and sister-in-law, James Reid and Thelma Bramlett, Winterville; sister-in-law, Gladys Bramlett; Colbert; Caregivers, Janet Johnson and Janice Waldrop; special friend, Shirley Owensby, Winterville; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Dr. Rick Standard and Rev. Palmer Rheberg officiating. Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8, 2009, from 6 p.m. ñ 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tim Bramlett, Randy Bramlett, Paul Bramlett, Sidney Christopher, Dennis Clarke and Clay Bramlett.
Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 305 N. Church St., Winterville, GA 30683.
The family is at the residence of Ms. Rochester, 1411 Hargrove Lake Road, Winterville, GA 30683.
